When used of British antiques, the term Georgian means items manufactured during the Georgian Era (1714–1830), the reigns of George I, George II, George III and George IV. It includes the Regency Period, when the then Prince of Wales (George IV) reigned in the place of his ailing father George III, and is often extended to include the brief reign of William IV (1830-1837).
